Spring Valley Excursion

Easy farm road and forest track with some climbs; recommended for end Febbruary/end March due to the countless flowers blossoming.
Start and finish: Market Square Kaltern
Duration: around 3.5 hours;
Elevation gain: around 346 m
Take the Trutschstraße to the Weinstraße and follow the farm road (no. 3 and then no. 20A). Walk by the Matscherhof, at the crossroads head straight ahead and at the next right on the farm road take a half-left into the forest. Once you’ve reached the ‘Kasterneien’ forest track, take a left (no. 20) to the Spring Valley. At the bridge, continue to the Mazzoner hiking trail, take a left and follow path no. 5 back to Kaltern.
