Tour of the Alps
The second largest bike race in Italy stops in Kaltern on Friday 26th of April 2019.
The Tour of the Alps is the second largest bike race in Italy after the Giro d’Italia. It starts on the 22nd of April 2019 in Kufstein (Austria) and ends on the 26th of April in Bolzano/Bozen. The participants have to overcome a total of five stages with 711 kilometers and a difference in altitude of 13,630 m. Till 2016 the tour was known as Giro del Trentino, while in 2017 the organizer renamed it Tour of the Alps. The Tour of the Alps is an Euregio-project and goes through Austria, South Tyrol (Italy) and Trentino (Italy).
On Friday 26th of April 2019, the starting gun for final stage to Bolzano, through Renon/Ritten and San Genesio/Jenesien, will be fired in Kaltern.
