Biotope at Lake Kaltern
Starting point: At the parking space at the southwestern shore of Lake Kaltern in the fraction of Klughammer
Duration: 30 minutes
Length: 1.5 km
From the starting point, continue walking on a wooden foot bridge across the biotope. The new wooden foot bridges were placed across the biotope some years ago, and lead hikers by small lakes and raised locations to observe the various bird species that live around Lake Kaltern.
Walking path between Pianizza di Sopra and Villa di Mezzo
Starting point: Masatsch farmstead in Pianizza di Sopra
Duration: 2 1/2 hours
Length: 4 km
The flat excursion winds its way between the fractions of Pianizza di Sopra and Villa di Mezzo. You’ll see some raised hides, vineyards churches, and castles. You also get to enjoy a marvellous view across the landscape of the Valle Adige. A very sunny and pleasant excursion. Start from Pianizza di Sopra, following the pavement along the road towards Villa di Mezzo. Once you’ve reached Villa di Mezzo, head to Santa Caterina Church and, from there, take a light right upwards to the Major -v.-Morandell square. Take a right downhill to Campan Castle on a tarred road that will take you through a portal to the Garnellen path. Follow it and you will end on the road towards Pianizza di Sopra. Follow it until you return back to where you started from.
