On the southwestern shore of Lake Kaltern you can find the St. Josef campsite, nestled between thickets of reeds and tall cypresses. Due to its beautiful location on the prettiest part of the South Tyrolean Wine Road, the camping site attracts cyclists, hikers, nature lovers, swimmers, and wine enthusiasts who find peace and quiet to recharge their batteries between the hills and mountains.
At the entrance of the site you’ll find a pleasant restaurant, a small shop and a cleaner than clean toilet facilities and showering area. The camping site also has free WIFI, a rowing boat rental service, ping pong, and a playground.
The private ‘beach’ of the camping site, the boardwalk, can be reached on a narrow path that cuts through the reeds, taking you where the water is clear like nowhere else on Lake Kaltern.

Just a short walk away from numerous restaurants and right on Lake Kaltern guests will find the Gretl camping site.
This camping site, thanks to its varied sport and leisure activities, is the ideal spot for your holidays. Young and old can have a blast rowing, sailing, fishing and swimming between April and October. You’ll be spoilt for choice, be it lying on the deckchair next to the lake or in the heated outdoor pool while the children run around the playground.
Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed during peak season.
